March/April Catchup

This has been a month filled with great weather, a litte weekend trip and lots of outside yard and garden work! At the end of March Darrin built a cover for our new concrete patio. We had more cement poured at the end of February so we could make better use of our back porch as our previous porch was just too small! We also started a garden and have 9 different plants growing, one of which I am going to be "harvesting" already in just a few days.. my romaine lettuce and mixed spring greens! Everything is looking great and we have been weeding alot trying to keep the grass and stuff under control! We also have been doing just some general "sprucing up". It is amazing how much better your siding and trim can look if you just wash it! Lol! For Easter we went to Dallas to see Lisa ang Brian. My parents met us over there and we had a great weekend. It bites being away from family but is nice that my sister lives close to here now and we can get togethere without having to drive 8 hours with a 13 month old and 2 dogs! Last weekend we went to the Air Show on the Airforce Base where Darrin works. It normally takes him about 10 minutes to get on base from our house, but it took TWO HOURS to get from our house to the actual area where they were having the show!! It was ridiculous!!! People were cutting in traffic and just being generally rude and inconsiderate of others. If everyone would just wait their turn and not cut in line then it would not be very long for anyone, but people don't care about others and force their way in and if you can't tell.. it just pisses me off.. Anyway..on to more worthy news...Landon has gotten another tooth which makes for 5 total; 3 on top and 2 bottom. He also had his first sick Doctor's visit on Friday. He had been running a fever and had a snotty congested nose so I took him in. Turns out he had an ear infection... poor baby.. so we got some medicine and he is feeling much better. We took him to church for the first time a few weeks ago and he went into the nursery. He did great when we dropped him off. Didn't cry or anything but when he saw us when we went to pick him up, he started crying really hard. Apparently he would start to cry and then would get distracted with a toy or something and stop, then look up and realize that we weren't there and start crying again. But overall, I think he did good for his first time being in a situation like that where he didn't know anyone. We will probably take him again this weekend after his nose stops running! Even if he is not contagious I still hate to take him anywhere like that if he has a runny nose... it is just kind of grose for the other kids eventhough it could have been where he got it from!!! lol.. oh well. We went swimming in our baby pool yesterday. He now knows how to get the velcro undone on his diapers (glad I mainly have snaps!) so it did not stay on long but who cares..."It's my pool and I can hang out naked if I want to" is what I was told yesterday (by Landon) so I didn't really push the issue. :) Some pics of my handome Lad(s)...

Sesame Street Live

Landon and I got to go see Sesame Street Live the other day! I did not know how he would do and if he would sit still, but he did great and really liked the performance! Here are some pics of our fun!
