2010 Survey

1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before? Got Pregnant.

2.Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I think I made one to lose x number of pounds before Robin's wedding. I made it about half way there. I guess my resolution for 2011 is to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight before Lisa's wedding??

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Stacie had Abraham, Maria had Jason, Traci had Brayden.

4. Did anyone close to you die? Yes, Darrin's Grandpa Olson passed away last spring.

5. What countries did you visit? None. I pretty much did not go anywhere besides Iowa and Kansas.

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010? I had a really good 2010 but it will be nice to have my baby in my arms instead of in my belly!

7. What dates froom 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? June 26th when Darrin and I went to Natchitoches, LA for our 2nd anniversary and his 32nd birthday. I had never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before. I also remember it because I was a couple days late. Then June 30th when I found out I was pregnant.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I don't feel like I acheived much. I worked, carried a baby for 30 weeks. The real achievement will be in March. Darrin and I made some financial achievements that are helping me to be able to stay home with the baby.

9. What was your biggest failure? Once again as in # 8, I don't feel like I failed much. I didn't get down to my goal weight before Robin's wedding, but I don't think I really failed at anything..

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I had one of the healthiest years of my life. I have been rarely sick since we have moved to Louisiana. I think it had more to do with my job.. not teaching.

11. What was the best thing you bought? Bedroom furniture! We needed it and now can't live without a King sized bed!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Darrin, he is a great husband and has been really supportive of me during my pregnancy.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Not really anyone. Ok, maybe CBS for taking Maggie, Harry and Dave from the Early Show. I was looking forward to watching them while not working outside the house and now they have new people who I don't really like! :(

14. Where did most of your money go? Paying for the house and utilities, insurance and taxes.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Finding out I was pregnant and preparing for the baby.

16. What song will always remind you of 2010? I like "Free" by Zach Brown Band and "The house that Built me" by Miranda Lambert

17. Compared to this time last year are you: a) happier or sadder? b) thinner or fatter? c) richer or poorer? Happier, definitely Fatter, and maybe richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Worked harder finding new friends down here. Exercise.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Watched less TV.

20. How did you spend Christmas? We went to Chanute for Christmas and New Years. We got to see all of our family and we wern't rushed. It was great!

21. Did you fall in love in 2010? Fell more in love with Darrin and started my love for baby Olson.

22. What was your favorite TV program? I like reality TV like Big Brother, Hells Kitchen, Biggest Loser. Sitcoms- Two and a half men, King of Queens.. There are to many to mention.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I don't think I hate anyone.

24. What was the best book you read? I read a few books, but nothing really stands out too much.

25. What was your greatest musical discovery? I still can't play anthing and my taste in music hasn't changed.

26. What did you want and get? New bedroom furniture, laptop,and of course baby on the way!

27. What did you want and not get? A good tan, good garden. Ours produced some stuff, but no tomatoes! :(

28. What was your favorite film of this year? I liked "Life as we Know It".

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I worked and did not do anything special on the actual day, but on St. Patty's day (2 days later, we went out with Mark and Bridgett to Fat Daddy's). I turned 27.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? I don't really know! It was a great year!

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010? Just whatever fits!

32. What kept you sane? Probably Darrin and my Family.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Harry Smith from the Early Show. I just love him... he is so nice!

34. What political issue stirred you the most? I don't really get into politics too much. I just wish we could get along!

35. Who did you miss the most? My family in Kansas!

36. Who was the best new person you met? I can't really think of anyone this year, but in 2009 it was Rhonda who was my work Buddy.

37. Tell a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010. -- You never know what is going to happen so cherish every day.

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. "Life's not the breaths you take but the moments that take your breath away."- George Straight.... I have a feeling this might be my song again next year.. It is just so true!
